The MS54B is a vertical mount with fine adjustment knobs and a weighted industrial base. This wide surface provides a sturdier stand with fine focus knobs on both sides of the viewing area. A rear set screw allows for further adjustment up and down the pole with a safety ring that can be set to safely prevent the microscope assembly from crashing into the base.
